‎Templates are battle-tested workflows, handcrafted by our engineering and video teams for some of the most popular kinds of videos. Instead of you trying to dream up the perfect prompt, you just pick the template you need—a social ad, a slide-deck presentation, an explainer, a product promo, even a video podcast—and Underlord will help you make it.

It won’t just haul off and make a generic video, either. As Underlord builds your edit, it’ll pause to ask you questions about your assets, your goals, and your style choices, so the finished product is uniquely yours. How templates work

Step 1. Pick a template. You’ll see them right on Descript’s home screen.

Step 2. Let Underlord cook. The template contains all the prompts Underlord needs to start making your video.

Step 3. Answer its questions. Underlord will check in—“Which slide deck? Do you want captions? Any brand colors to add?”—and use your answers to shape the edit until it’s exactly what you want. That’s it. No blank-page panic, no endless prompt-futzing. Just a custom-made video, made faster.
