Just three years after its founding, Pushkin Industries has become an audio-storytelling powerhouse, with an arsenal of podcasts and audiobooks built around household-name authors like Malcom Gladwell (Revisionist History), Michael Lewis (Against the Rules), and Ibram X. Kendi (Be Antiracist).

It’s not hard to talk yourself into launching a podcast these days — including a podcast for your team at work. There are plenty of good reasons to do it and many examples of companies that have used podcasts to elevate their internal communications and inspire their workforce.

You can record, edit, mix, collaborate, and then export — it’s powerful stuff, made simple enough you don’t need any experience. So, go on, start a podcast.

We spoke with Avi Glijansky, one of the founders of Fugitive Media and an award-winning writer, director and producer, about the team’s process and the tools they use to turn story ideas into narrative audio documentaries. Here’s what we learned.
